Axe Wielding Priest: A Solo RPG
A downloadable game
A great evil stalks your parish. It changes shapes, forms, and faces at will; no one would believe you if you told them, but you know it is there. And you know what you must do.
Yes, sometimes you’ve had… lapses in judgment. But do not entertain doubt, for doubt is the greatest weapon in the Adversary’s arsenal. Focus instead on what you need to do your righteous work: clarity of vision and the will to act.
That, and a sharp fuckin’ axe.
Axe Wielding Priest is a solo RPG on a single page. With this PDF, a couple dice and something to write with, you'll document your secret hunt for the great evil that stalks your parish, and the revelations, flashbacks and violence that occur along the way. But as the hunt continues, a very real possibility grows: what if it's all in your head?
AWP is (obviously) a game about faith and doubt, zeal and paranoia, violence and repentance. It's also a nod to great horror movies like Frailty, Prince of Darkness and Dead Alive.
Sharpen your axe, pray your rosary, and kick ass for the Lord. If you come up with something cool, drop me a line below -- I'd love to hear about it.
As a horror game, Axe Wielding Priest can get intense. CW for self-harm, violence, blood and paranoia.

Oh wow- I LOVED this! Took me about two hours to complete my first run. I'm already a huge sucker for themes like this, but the sense of madness was palpable as my poor priest eventually met his demise.
The other solo RPGs I've played have been more cozy than this, but it was fun to dip my toes into the dark. Thank you!!
Awesome game - thank you. Simple yet deep.
That's super kind, thank you!
